Golden Moments
How many golden moments are we allowed in a lifetime?
How often are we gifted with a moment that we are too busy to savor?
How many moments do we touch in swift passage
leaving us just with the sweetness on our fingertips?
How many leave us with only the flicker of happiness in a human eye?
How many leave us with only the faintest lyrical laugh on the air or warm sigh on the breeze?
How many golden moments are we able to hold close in memory?

We need to savor these moments as they come or we will miss out - Dave
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am often aware of when those moments occur and can enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I know you have had a lot of angst over this one.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I tried to click on Dave's link and it came up with a warning from Google. There's script on your site from Blogorama, Dave, if you are reading this!
ReplyDeletedef important to cling to these memories, these moments when we get them...makes me want to relish each one...smiles...
ReplyDeleteThat photo should be a book cover. My savoring of moments is fleeting and often I try to record them via my blog but more often I am left to move forward from them hoping the memory will recur from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI saw that and wondered if it was a picture or a dream. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou have caused me to ponder my list for the day. I think I'll just go to the hammock and read.
ReplyDeleteThis post touched my heart in
ReplyDeletea deep way.
Thank you
I smile with you...
Good questions that we all need to think about. Sometimes we don't recognize golden moments. Sometimes we have too high a standard for our golden moments so enjoy each day as if it's a golden moment.
ReplyDeleteA nice type of golden picture, I love it.
ReplyDeleteI think about this often. I so want to capture beautiful moment while they are happening. I don't want to miss them. So precious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
Too few, alas - until untimely reality gives us a nudge - and a fresh take on life. Then not only do we suddenly discover that there are more of these moments than we had ever realised, but we sip them slowly as we should.
ReplyDeleteas many as we can! thanks for the reminder!
