Returning to Normal
Finally the cold and gray seems to be moving away somewhere and we are now getting the even colder sunny days of winter. The sky will be clear meaning the air will be colder, but this seems normal to me, at long last. It is odd still how a bright yellow sun in the winter seems less like the hot fire it is and more like a distant light bulb.
I guess we are having a more normal winter though it's been very wet. cold days interspersed with a few warm ones as the warm gulf coast battles with the cold fronts.
ReplyDeleteIt seems we are all looking for "normal", but i'm not sure how much of it we will find any more.
ReplyDeleteWe've had the real stuff since mid Nov. (winter) I like it that way. I also like your photo of the trees and the light on the bark.
ReplyDeleteWinter sun is a welcome thing, such an indirect warmth.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your 'normal' is a sunny cold day; our normal tends to be the grey dull skies at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThe arrival of the cold wouldn't be so bad if only it didn't come with wind also.
