Joy
The weather is cool, which I love, at my home. Hanging in the low 70's is perfect for easing into the next season and I wish it would last even longer. I love sweater weather when the sun is shining or non-sweater weather when there is a slightly cool breeze under a warming sun. But I do not have to heat a swimming pool or get children off early in the morning in swimsuits to Team.
In Southern California the sun almost always shines (at least that is what they want you to believe) and summer is there in full swing in early June. Above is a place called Newport Beach where you can forget for a moment all the worries of the world and pretend you just got out of school for the next three months and have all that free time ahead of you.

The only thing I miss about school is summer vacation.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach
ReplyDeleteIn high school, it was a mystery to me why so many fellow students were eager to leave home for far away places. I still regret not going to school in Manhattan.
Sounds heavenly to me!
ReplyDeleteI've been in that water in the middle of summer. it's cold. brutally hot here.
ReplyDeleteI love the cooler weather as the house stays cooler and you sleep better.
ReplyDeleteHow i would dearly love a long summer vacation. We get a week, it will have to be enough.
ReplyDeleteGoing to have a nice swim, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEarlier I was at the library commenting on your other blog questions when I was cut off before posting! Anyhow, Good Questions!
ReplyDeleteI have not been to the beach yet this year, n it is hard to get extra time without missing a day of sleep!.
Newport Beach is a place in Rhode Island where rich folks have mansions!
Life CAN be a beach sometimes....
Newport Beach In Southern California also caters to a wealthy population with lots of yachts. Christmas the decorated yachts in parade are a striking sight. Our weather inland in the foothills of northeastern Los Angeles County is rather Mediterranian-like. I’m partial to what is called May gray and June gloom when the sun may not appear until after noon, later, or not at all. A pleasant break for me from incessant sunshine much of the rest of the year — especially so, now, with the drought prevailing through our so-called rainy season.
