The American poet, Robert Frost Carl Sandburg, said that fog comes in on little cat feet. We were driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after Thanksgiving and find that winter comes in following a drum roll!
Joeh is right. I had even checked it, but the fog of this cold made me type Frost instead of Sandburg. I have now corrected, and feel very old and stupid.
Gee, I knew it was Sandburg but it was certainly something Frost could have said too:) That winter really did come in on a drum roll and that's a great Tabor quote right?:)
A very suitable call for a drum roll as weather and winter are terrific performers as you show in your photos.
ReplyDeleteah i hope i get to hear it soon you know....smiles...i would love some snow!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe exploding sun is fantastic. That said, the days won't start getting longer for another month. I'm no fan of winter.
ReplyDeleteI always thought "The Fog" was by e.e. cummings so I Googled it...turns out it was by Carl Sandburg.
ReplyDeleteStill, the pictures are great!
