Falling Eve

The air, now crisp and thin, like old lace
frames the calming sunsets
which are a dichotomy of torrid fire,
a slow moving sentinal
repeating the habit of farewell

Air that carries a type of chill
easily blocked by a silk scarf
yet still able to blow memories
into the listening ear
of a familiar Song of adieu.

For just this vitreous moment
the silence is quantum
speaking of an eternity
of rhythmic forordination
that is our destiny while we are here

  2. This is excellent. Do you really need to capitalize each phrase? Do you need that"but?" All those years of writing classes attune me to each poem I see these days. There's a magazine I get called http://www.pw.org/magazine...you might enjoy it. I do.

Thanks so much for the lovely note. I got several caring notes today that bouyed me up. And too, I am knocked over with the power of that shot. Thanks.

  6. Yes, it was brave of me. LOL
Yes, too, check and see if your local college or university has a workshop. I went to one sponsored by my local 2 year college for over 8 years, and it was simply wonderful. I'm a better writer because of it. :)

    Have a great day.
