I love bouquets of daffodils but I hate to pick my own, so I buy bunches of them in bud at the grocery store and have them bloom in my vase. Daffodils are grown in abundance just north of us in the Skaget Valley, so I can buy them for $1.50 for a bunch of a dozen stems.
my early daffodils did not bloom that well this year. probably because I moved them mid winter when they had already started to sprout. at least that's what I tell myself.
Oh beautiful! I have the tips of lots of little green shoots and leaves... and ONE lonely daffodil bud. But, no flowers yet.
ReplyDeleteOur periwinkle is blooming madly but not much to bring inside. Lovely vase of posies!
ReplyDeleteThings are really cooking there if you can get a bouquet of large flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! Hope you get many more bouquets from your garden through the next several months. They certainly will brighten things up!
