This was two days ago.... |
Really cold this morning! River keeps freezing and thawing. I have to go out and run errands, ugh! |
This dove actually looked 18 inches long and very wide. I thought for a minute it was a cuckoo.
This is today with some snow melting and at least the wind has stopped blowing and snow is off the trees.
Your river pic really captures the temp.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of very cold, tried to run in it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteBut it certainly makes for unique photos!!
The only thing worse than the cold is people repeatly saying, "Man! Is it COLD out!" (LOL!)
ReplyDeleteThe snow is so beautiful, the trees look straight out of Zhivago especially along side the frigid river pictures. It is so hard to want to go do errands when it's like this. I put it off and then do them all at one time. Just want to sit in a chair and read and drink tea.
ReplyDeleteBut oh so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure those are not my woods :) I do not have the wonderful water.
ReplyDeleteMy area is melting...
great pics but i am shivering the wind is the kicker...really cold wind here...
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I live in Utah. I really hate the cold and snow!
ReplyDeleteHello! I was here, asking for friendship. ;) Would you like to follow each others blogs? Advance Happy New Year. :D
ReplyDeleteAll these images are great, the first one particularly inspiring, but what they give above all is a vivid impression of the fickleness of nature.
ReplyDeleteThe wind is wicked! I can almost stand the cold until the wind blows.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo almost looks 3D. Like the lake drops off into another dimension, sort of like a cube.
I send warm rooms, hot tea, and a good book your way for after the errands. Here....rain.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! We had a thaw today - convenient, but boring.
ReplyDeleteThat is what we looked like this time last year but so far we're not even experiencing real cold weather. Perhaps I should knock on wood. Love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteYes, winter is here...but isn't it all so very lovely? I welcome the cold...it makes me feel alive. Fresh. It makes me walk faster.
ReplyDeleteWay more snow than we have in Canada. Happy New Year Tabor. (hugs)
ReplyDeleteHopefully it warms up soon!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
Cool ice photos, especially the one at the bottom.
