My cup runneth over
with words of concern and kindness
gestures of love and hope
with falling rain for my garden.
It was just a drizzle, but enough to give the drying flower beds hope. Enough water to cool the leaves of plants and fill the buds of flowers with thirst quenching water.
It was enough to drench plants with pearls and diamonds.
It was enough rain to intimidate those small insects that had forgotten what rain is or perhaps this insect was one of those that was born between the rains.

We felt that way about the first day of light rain. Now we want the sunshine back, please.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to get a drizzle most days and a good dousing every few, so the plants are happy in the swamps.
ReplyDeleteThe flower petals, the little rain, it was enough for tremendous photos.

I wish we could get some rain here. Even our little springfed pond is nearly dry and the leaves are changing, but not because of autumn. So sad! I'm happy for you and your flowers, though!
ReplyDeleteOh yes,
ReplyDeleteseveral nice showers here by the woods and everything looks green once again.
I could have danced in the rain :)
3 inches of much prayed for rain here.
