The Start
Days are getting longer and moods are getting brighter. Birds are noisier and whole flocks of robins and cedar waxwings fly over, pause for 20 minutes in my skeletal tree branches, clean out worms from the lawn or holly berries in the woods and then like Black Friday shoppers race on to the next yard or field. It is beginning.
Good to know; we can even see the early signs of longer days and brighter skies here.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely sky this morning, full of streaky pink clouds. I envy you your bird shoppers, ours seem to be shopping elsewhere right now. :-)
ReplyDeleteHere both G and I notice a faint tinge of green on our leafless trees.
ReplyDeleteStill have a little longer wait in NJ, but I am ready for it.
ReplyDeleteWe had our first lawn mowing yesterday. It has begun.
ReplyDeleteIt's going pink and yellow around here now, flowering plum and cherry trees, forsythia and daffodils. So lovely.
ReplyDeleteYes, things are really starting to change quickly. Days are getting much longer each day!
ReplyDeleteYes it is!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis past weekend was gorgeous! It was hovering near 60 degrees all weekend. Unheard of in WI. And though I know it is still winter I had to put my patio furniture out. :)
Oh yes
ReplyDeletethe same scene
here by the woods.
Spring is on the way :)
Oh that photo capture is amazing.
ReplyDeletewell under way here. trees are blooming, other trees are putting out their spring green, the indian paintbrush was the first to bloom, seeing it here and there on the roadside. the bluebonnets out front are starting to manufacture some buds.
