Time To Slow Down

Seems that autumn reminds us of the rhythm of life and seems to suggest that we slow down. Yet, she rushes by in a matter of weeks and is not a good example of what she preaches. But are we not all guilty of that in some ways? Below are some pausing (passing?) photos from my recent trip to Pennsylvania and Michigan. All below were taken in the small community of Troy as I tried to stop time for this season.

  1. Stunning photos of beauty in Nature. The sunlight in the grasses warms the heart. That photo would make an outstandung large frame photograph. You are a wonderful landscape photographer.

  2. Love the mottled maple leaves. Gorgeous time of year but all to brief this time. We've got snow in the hills about 12 miles from here.

  3. I guess the rapidity of the change makes us appreciate autumn so much. Now, we of the north are into a very bleak November. Then comes the long winter. It could begin any day now. Or maybe it will be kind and delay itself this year. Sometimes, we can even get into January before it bites down in full force.

  6. Her beauty is as fleeting as her lessons are enduring.

  7. I suspect that fall rushes by so quickly because we enjoy it so much. If it were dreary and rainy, with gloomy skies and sodden paths I think we would find it moved along at a snail's pace.
