You Think You Have Problems

One of the very swift hawks, perhaps a Coopers, came through this morning and my birds scattered everywhere from the feeders. A short while later this Cardinal showed up at the deck and seemed a bit dazed. I guess he has no means of clearing his vision!!

  1. He looks as if he might have had a narrow squeak. Live to fly another day!

  2. I wonder who he was consorting with.

  3. I once read where those feeders can be a smorgasbord for smaller hawks on the prowl. They have to feed too, but it does not make for good bird watching.

  4. They do have to watch out, and it's rather sad but it's how the meat eaters survive.

  5. Your cardinal may have whammed into a window when the hawk went through the yard.

  6. Oh, no hands. Maybe his wing could flutter it off! Thanks for the chuckle.
