Pink Cotton Candy

Yes, I did slightly change the hue of these photos of our second snow of the season by blowing warmer pixelated air upon them.  I was up early during the sunrise and the pink cotton candy color of the scene was actually not far from this edited version.  It is amazing how weather, light and shadow, and angle of the sun can transform where I live into a temporary carnival fantasy land.  All this mood needed was the tinkle of temple bells from Chiang Mai.

  3. That soft pink coloring is so beautiful! We had a fantasy land here this morning too. It always seems to happen when I have to be somewhere and don't have time to go out with the camera. We were leaving for church this morning and I said to my husband, "Next time this happens I'm not going anywhere until I've taken some photos!" Really...I can't believe how many times I've missed it!
Your photos are beautiful. I'm glad one of us managed to capture the beauty. Thanks :)
Love those windblown cardinals too. We're starting to see more of them now. Their bright color is so welcome!

  6. Sublime. The sky and the trees looked just like that for about fifteen seconds the morning of our last snow, never enough time to get the camera and capture just that perfect moment.

  9. Both beautiful, but that top one especially makes me want to see it in all kinds of different places, like on fine china or patterning on a skirt. Really breathtaking.
