Copper Morning

There is nothing that warrants a deep sigh and stimulates hope for mankind quite like the feeling that is savored on the first morning of sunshine after days of endless spring rains. Everything has been washed silver shiny clean and the air smells like life itself. The humid heaviness waits until afternoon. The jazz band noise of bird and bug is slow to start. The day is virgin and bright like a new copper penny just waiting for you to make your mark. But first you sit on the log at the end of the dock and count your blessings.

  1. Tabor, I wish I could write like you. You just described what I sense on a morning like this.
Yes, we have so many blessings. Have a great day - slow down.

  6. Ah, yes........
Maybe I won't be counting my blessings though; that can wait until such time as I am really up against it, so bad that I can't any longer see the beauty you describe so eloquently. Until then, I'll just sit and sigh with happiness and wonderment.

I hope you will be able (and want) to visit my blog again. We appear to enjoy similar things.I have a mac, could that have been the problem?

  8. I often wonder, Tabor, as I read your beautiful prose, if the words just roll off your brain (so to speak), or do you have to pull and tug them out? :) (I seriously doubt it's the latter).
You have such a wonderful way with words...a real gift.
    The photo is glorious too.
Reading this post was gave me so much pleasure. Thank you.
